She appears to be more of an arena horse than a trail horse. She is broke to ride and has been ridden in a halter on the trail. She did not cross water at first but by the end of today had played in the water and crossed several crossings. She needs an expereinced rider but did not ever offer to buck or rear. She was a solid horse with her rider. She has a heart of gold and tries to be pleasing every time she is asked. She is up to date on vaccines, farrier work , wormer. 11 Year old Saddlebred, Arabian cross. 15 hands tall, was a beach ride horse but did not like the endless change of riders. He is working on some issues but is very adoptable. No health concerns. Up to date on shots, wormer, farrier work and is handled daily. He needs an experienced rider . $400 adoption fee He was a pill on his adoption interview but his people loved him any way 🙂
Bobby is 20 years old. He was sent to auction when his owner died. He is dead broke, easy to handle. He is full of life and moves out on the trail. Up to date on vaccine, wormer, had his teeth done, vet check. He came in with his sister but is not herd sour. He has personality deluxe. I can let him graze loose in the yard, though he does love the younger mares and will go to the fence to flirt. This is a horse I would put any one on, in fact I do. $400 is a bargain for him. U will love him— UPDATE Bobby has a new name and a new life. He appears very happy 🙂

Sometimes there is a horse in the auction yard that I fall in love with. I always hope that they get a home with out our help. As it happened on the day I met Titan we had donations to buy horses, but not a lot of room in the rescue. I did not know how this was going to work out, until this woman approached me. She had been following our rescue and had room to take one horse. As often happens there are a few homes, several kill buyers and several rescues. Titan was ran through with out a rider or much history. I bought him because I just knew I could not let him ship, when I got the winning bid I heard a cheer from across the auction yard. His new owner had fallen in love with him in the pen before the auction. She had filled out an application and offered to take him home. We get regular pictures and his owner is truly in love still. He is a good riding horse and has a happy home. Thank you to our supporters he did not ship to slaughter and has become the darling of his new Mom.
Beau – Was an auction horse – Bought for $270 away from a meat buyer he was a super sweet horse. He came in and was a very broke ranch horse. He was only at the rescue a few weeks before his family drove 4 hours just on a chance we would be in and they could meet him. It was love at first sight. I believe that Beau was never as happy as he is now with his new family. He does a great job on the trail in the arena. We went through his barn one day last summer to do a home visit, he called to us. He is in a beautiful barn, everything about him shows how loved and well cared for he is. Every so often I get an updated picture of him on a trail, or doing a trick in an arena and it always makes me smile.
