Cheech has stayed as part of the family at the rescue. He made the choice and made it clear I was not going to change his mind. He is a super guy and has all chihuahua attitude about rules.
Tiny is a senior pug cross that due to dental neglect he lost many of his teeth. He is a real sweet boy. He was an outside dog so his first few days in the house at the rescue were doing some training. He got a great home that worked hard to find him, because he was just what they were looking for.
Some times an animal needs help from a shelter. This was the case for Wendell who had been sitting in the shelter for a while and it was looking like his time was running out. As an older dog with dental needs no one was willing to take the chance. When an amazing home stepped up and a wonderful donor to pay for his dental work not only was Wendell saved but he was sent to his new home with all of his medical needs met. YAY
There is a thing that pictures can never show which is the amount of pain a horse is when they are dumped at auction. Brumby had lacked hoof care for a long time. She suffered from Laminitis and was in shock from the amount of pain she was in. We did not see how much her life would be blessed in following days as our friends and a sanctuary came together to build her a future of loving care. She will never know what a Miracle was pulled together for her when so many horses and ponies are lost.
